The Comparison and Contrast of Martin Luther King Jr. essays The Comparison And Contrast of Dr. Martin Luther King And Malcolm Xs Life Dr. Martin Luther King and Malcolm X were great African-Americans that base their lives to stop the discrimination of people who were different than the whites (mainly African-Americans) . In my essay I will compare and show you how different their lives where from each other . I will talk about how their styles were , and how I thought about their accomplishments . Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was born in Atlanta , Georgia . He was born his name was actually Michael Luther King Jr. , but he later changed to Martin . When Dr. King was in school he was very smart , because finished high school at the age of fifteen , got his Bachelors degree at the age of 19 from Morehouse College . Then three years after he of studying theological at Crozer Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania where he was elected president of a predominantly white senior class . He was presented his B. D. in 1951 , and he went on to peruse the rest of his education . In Boston he met his wife to be Coretta Scott which was as smart as he was , and married her , and had two sons , and two daughters . In 1954 , Martin Luther King Jr. accepted the pastoral of the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery , Alabama . King was a member of the executive committee of the National Association for the Advancement of the Colored People(NAACP) , which is the leading organization of its kind in the nation . Dr. King was a great person and I will talk more about his accomplishments in the compare and contrast . Malcolm X was born with the name Malcolm Little , but changed his last name ,because he didnt want to have the last name of a white man that owned his ancestors.
